“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14 (KJV)
Part One
What is holiness?
Scripture calls us beyond outward religion into a life set apart for God.
- Holiness carries the idea of purity, sanctity, and being consecrated to God.
- God's correction is for our good, so that we may share in His holiness.
- Peace and holiness belong together in the life of a believer.
Part Two
The witness of Cornelius
Acts 10 introduces Cornelius as a man whose faith shaped his daily life.
- He feared God and influenced his household.
- He gave generously and prayed consistently.
- He fasted, listened, and obeyed when God directed him.
- His good works did not replace his need for the Holy Spirit and baptism.
A sincere life responds when God reveals the next faithful step.
For Reflection
Faith that becomes visible
Consider how devotion moves from belief into ordinary choices.
- Where is God inviting me to obey more fully?
- Do prayer and generosity have a regular place in my life?
- Am I willing to receive truth even when it changes my assumptions?
